CMPG Design Automation group is seeking an intern to fill an Design
automation intern position in Performance Verification (PV) and Power
estimation. In this position, you will be working closely with the rest of the
DA team to set up and maintain microprocessor design tools, assist users with
tool issues they encounter, interface with tool owners to resolve bugs, provide
automation and make improvements to existing flows. You will be training users
on tools. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to
Conducting studies and/or research on various fields to improve the
tools performance and/or accuracy
Evaluating Different methods to Design Convergence
Driving project methodology in the area of PV (timing) and/or Power.
Qualifications:-
Minimum Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the
minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of
your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or
internship experiences.
Currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering or related discipline.
VLSI design, course and project work that covers basic circuit design,
static timing analysis and physical design.
Demonstrated knowledge in Linux* (or Unix*)
Demonstrable understanding of circuit design and VLSI basic technology
Knowledge of Static/Dynamic timing analysis
Power Tools exposure
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of scripting languages (Shell
scripting, TCl, Perl)
Customer orientation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
