Job Description: LTE Standards Engineer - 710511
Description:-
The candidate will be responsible for developing solutions for Radio
Access Network (RAN) layer 2/3 control plane and data plane protocols, system
concepts, cross-layer and cross RAN/core network optimization and network
architecture for LTE-Advanced and beyond standards. Detailed responsibilities
include:
Develop and evaluate solutions, technical contributions and
specifications in 3GPP LTE standards groups through theoretical analysis and
simulation
Drive innovations and technical solutions to improve existing LTE
technologies and standards
Guide and support LTE products development and marketing decision
aligned with standards
The candidate will also play an active role in LTE standards
harmonization and advanced research collaboration with external partners
Qualifications:-
The position requires solid understanding of wireless access network
communication principles; strong technical experience in RAN layer 2/3
protocols design, simulation and optimization; strong knowledge of PHY layer
and network layer and cross layers design and inter-dependency.
The candidate must be a creative problem solver with strong experience
in wireless systems such as 3GPP, WiMAX, WiFiand 3GPP2; and 4G wireless
technologies including machine-to-machine, relay, femto cell, heterogeneous
network, OFDMA, MIMO, interference management and cooperative network.
Experience in standard body participation is an asset.
Additional qualifications:-
PhD in EE or a closely related field
Comprehensive knowledge of 4G wireless systems and protocols such as
3GPP, WiMAX, 3GPP2
Strong analytical and research skills
Strong MAC/protocols/network/cross layers simulation skills using
C/C++ , Matlab, OPNET and other tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal
skills
Self motivated, proactive and good team player
Additional knowledge and experience in other wireless network
standards such as BlueTooth, WiFi is a plus
