Job Description
We are I/O Driver Center Of Excellence feature development team within
MCG responsible for developing IO drivers for next generation of Atom SoC based
platforms on Windows. We are expanding the charter of our team and looking to
add additional dynamic & strong SW driver developers to join our team to
jointly develop next generation Windows based Tablet with Microsoft for launch
in 2013 and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with
Intel's Tablet, ultra-mobile and handheld Processors, Chipsets, and Graphics technology,
including the exciting new ultra low power Atom processor derivatives and
System-On-a-Chip (SOC) technologies. We are specifically looking for SW
development engineers to develop I2C, SPI, UART and GPIO drivers. You should
have passion for developing new products and an out-of-box thinker to propose
innovative solutions and able to work under aggressive timelines. You should be
able with work effectively in a team environment and have good verbal and
written communication skills.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Designing, developing and delivering core set of device drivers for
Windows 8 (must have solid driver development experience)
Integrating SW stacks and the hardware platform and ensure enablement
of all the uses cases.
Troubleshoot, debug and resolve all software, firmware and platform
related issues and ensure that closure at the respective debug forums
Executing the business processes necessary to deliver the components
for software releases to MCG and other teams
Desired Profile
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree or a Master of
Science degree Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with at least 7
years of experience in system software design and/or development on Windows.
Additional qualifications include:
Atleast 5 years of experience in Windows Driver development
Previous experience with device driver/embedded development is a must
Proficient in C and/or C++, Windows system level programming including
multithreaded development concepts
Windows middleware development experience with good understanding of
Windows kernels and hardware driver interaction concepts
Kernel Mode debugging skills
Keen passion and/or interest in system software development on Windows
Assertive and knowledgeable about product development life cycle and
should be conversant in agile SW development practices
Good problem solving skills
Good team player
Quick learner, self-motivated to work independently on designing new
software
Good communication, documentation and organizational skills
Experience with working on Low Power systems and/or Always Connected
systems would be an added advantage
Experience in developing in one of the areas: I/O drivers, USB,
Sensors or WiFi or firmware.
