Job Description
Software Engineers conduct or participate in
multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware
engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity
enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing
systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on
machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity,
processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers
and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to
customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to
problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.
Desired Profile
Qualifications
You should possess an MS degree or a BS
degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of
four years of software development, validation, enabling or technical support
experience and strong communication skills.
Additional qualifications include:
Good C, C++ knowledge and/or experience
Strong debugging skills
A solid working experience of working on
Mobile/Tablet/PC platforms.
Device Driver knowledge such as
Camera/Audio/Various platform Sensors such as accelerometer, Gyroscope (hands
on development/validation is a plus)
Exposure IO protocol such as I2C.
Knowledge of Windows/android driver
development and debugging, troubleshooting skills
Good knowledge of PC internals, architecture.
Good knowledge of OS concepts
Previous experience working with customers
(OEMs/MNCs) is a plus
Good communication skills, negotiation,
problem solving and decision making skills/traits
Self-driven and ability to multitask
effectively
Willingness to Travel
Good at stake holder management
