Job Description
You will be working on key technologies and
solutions including Exchange, Outlook, Unified Messaging, Anti-spam, E-mail
encryption, Push mail, Active Directory, and Security products.
Responsibilities include:
(1) Design & Engineering: Define, develop
and test the messaging system. Conduct experimental tests, analyzes engineering
options, and use technical data to determine feasibility. Test new features and
capabilities of existing Messaging systems and new. Own the first
implementation/deployment; define training plans & handoff to daily
operations. Optimize systems for performance & cost. Responds to
customer/client feature requests. Test product features, upgrade methods etc.
(2) Level 3 Operations: Provide 3rd level
support and own escalations to vendor as well as end-user escalations and
requires being in the on-call with other Messaging Engineers. Establish &
improve the operations model. Analyze, propose and implement improvements,
proactive fixes and general support within the service line.
(3) Architecture: (Limited initially, but the
scope of this will grow with time) Own product roadmaps and work with vendors
to influence the technology direction. Define the integration of communications
products for optimal user experience and efficient collaboration.
Desired Profile
Automation, and development/scripting skills.
Willing to learn Messaging solutions like
Exchange 2010/2013, Outlook 2010/2013, Unified Messaging, Anti-spam, e-mail
encryption. Added benefit to have experience in IronPort, Microsoft Office
applications, Active Directory, McAfee, etc.
High energy and/or motivation coupled with
the flexibility this role demands
Good organization, Time and Project
management skills.
Develop customer service skills and the
ability to demonstrate excellent written / verbal communication and
interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly
changing environment, and employ time management skills to juggle multiple
