An RF Driver Engineer will be typically responsible for:
Development, verification and support of baseband Modem firmware/Embedded SW for the Radio Driver System across multiple mobile communication standards (GSM/EDGE, UMTS).

System integration on virtual prototypes and target hardware in cooperation with System Engineering and hardware design groups.

Analyzing and solving of technical issues during bring-up of the next generation mobile phone platform.

Technical support of internal and external customers of the Intel high-feature modem baseband components.

Debugging FW/SW and System issues, extraction and analysis of traces, pre-analysis of issues from various verification sessions (IOT, GCF, field, customer)

Discussing customer requirements/feedback with Concept Engineering and Development.

Performing code review and providing SW/FW fixes and feature updates.

Qualifications
Engineering Graduates or Masters in Electronics & Communication Technology or Computer Science.

Good knowledge and understanding of GSM/UMTS communication standards, protocols, mobile architecture especially the physical layer

4 to 8 years experience in the development of wireless products, preferably in RF Driver or at a minimum L1 Controller

Hands on experience with wireless communication test setups, logic analyzer and DigRF analyzer tools.

Good problem solving and analytical capabilities.

Proactive in nature and is able to work in teams.
