Job Description
In addition to the requirements of a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER listed
hereafter, the candidate will need to be a AGILE oriented execution expert with
experience and interest in building and nurturing empowered software
development teams that follow the Agile methodology.
Hands-on experience with managing projects through all Software
Development Life Cycle phases
Experience project managing in Agile
Ability to initiate, execute and bring the project to closure
Scope management and dynamic prioritization
Ability to drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices
Experience with estimation techniques - Ability to comprehend
Experience in foreseeing risk and act upon to prevent or mitigate
Experience in project managing geographically distributed teams
Experience working with cross functional teams and liaison across
multiple product teams
Ability to drive partners and manage different stakeholders in
challenging situations
Define, collect and use metrics to drive decisions
Preferably to improve productivity and quality
Experience in defect management
Experience in managing projects with no direct control over staff
Excellent communication skills
Assertive communication
Written/verbal communication
Desired Profile
Academic and professional qualifications
Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Program of
study is mandatory. Relevant post graduate qualifications and professional memberships
will be preferred. It is essential that a person at this level proactively
maintain awareness of management strategies, development methodology and
standards for team operations, and improve project, product or process quality.
Experience
That is appropriate for this level and the nature of the assignment or
responsibility. This person will also have industry exposure in customer forums
on topics that leverage and person will meet the work and professional
experience requirements in this field reflect the employee's responsibility or
expertise.
Travel requirements
This person may be expected to provide project support to development
or test teams in other locations. Travel would be infrequent (quarterly) and to
other Allscripts locations or possible industry conferences.
Working arrangements
A person working at this level would be based from one of the primary
development locations and would maintain regular working hours appropriate for
the location, while also being flexible to consider alternative hours for
conference calls, etc. with remote locations.
