Job Description
1. Developing specification, implementation, test and support of
Infineon specific Design Flow infrastructure tools (Job Scheduler, Workflow
manager, regression Manager, etc)
2. Develop custom utilities based on different EDA tools to process
data and automate different steps in the design flow.
3. Unify existing internal EDA tools or evaluate, enhance and/or
recommend replacement for the existing tools.
4. Review existing single point internal EDA tools and look for
opportunities to integrate these tools into a single frame work
5. Work with Design and flow teams to understand their automation
needs. Customize exiting tools or propose new tools to reduce the design cycle
time.
6. Developing GUI / workflow for existing Infineon Design flow
7. Provide training on Flow infrastructure (Flow architecture,
Configuration management, Data-Management, Data exchange across components)
8. Provide support to design teams in all areas related to tools,
design flow & methodology.
9. Active participation in Code reviews, Spec reviews, guiding and
mentoring of other tool developers.
10. Provide EDA tool, coding standards, examples and documentation.
11. Ensuring compliance with all Infineon Quality/Process practices in
flow development.
Position Description (Part II)
Internal EDA tool developers, Project Managers, Program Managers,
Subflow Project Leads, Design Application Engineers, Quality Managers, IT team,
Individual contributor/ Technical ladder
(no subordinates)
BE / BTech / MS in Computer Science
8 -12 years
- Experience in specifying, developing, testing and deploying EDA
tools in ASIC Design Flow
- Experience in working on Analog Mixed Signal Design Methodology
(nice to have).
- Working (hands on) knowledge of Linux OS (Redhat) and Unix shell
scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Programming/ Scripting languages (Perl, C/C++
&& TCL) with hands on experience in developing large scale Object
Oriented Software Programs
- Expertise in process automation using scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of makefile, XML parsing.
- Experience with load sharing systems like LSF.
- Expertise on CM tools (especially Clearcase(Unix) and Designsync),
SCM Techniques and Process Automation
- Experience in SDLC process is highly required.
- Ability to drive alignment meetings, strong interpersonal skills.
- Good team player in a multi-site work environment
