Job Description
In this position, the candidate will be responsible for defining next generation
serial/parallel IO architecture PHY and also possesses end-to-end system
knowledge including the controller/driver. The candidate will be expected to
design the architecture that has right trade off of cost, power and
performance. The candidate will have to publish the architecture documents,
such as HAS, that has architectural description in terms of block diagram,
performance waveforms, interface definition and micro-architecture. The
candidate will have to work with backend and logic teams to implement and
validate the design. The candidate will be working with the High Speed serial
IO PHY IP Development Team and will be responsible for all phases of Frontend
Architecture and Design, that includes Specification, feature scoping,
feasibility, and design. Close collaboration with Planning Teams, Architects,
Validation and Physical Design Teams will be required. Other expectations
include:
Provide Technical direction to Circuit Team working on specific IP
(High Speed Serial IO Design)
Attend project execution meetings (Maintain contacts with each Stake
holder)
Meet Process collateral team regularly to understand process learning.
Plan upfront EV needs, understand post-silicon requirements. Work with
Board team and review board level changes
Desired Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate should possess a Bachelor or Master of Engineering
degree, or a Master of Science degree in Electrical or Electronics and
Communication Engineering with 10 years of working experience. The candidate
should have hands on experience and proven track record of delivering
flawlessly to results. Cultivating and leveraging a strong network, managing
through multiple stakeholders and peer organizations are key requirements for
this role.
Other Qualifications include:
10 years of experience in High Speed Serial IO Circuit and Systems
Familiar with Advance Analog Circuit Design and micro-architecture
Understanding of lab equipments (probes, scopes, automation software)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to lead at
all levels of the organization
Proven ability to work across functional groups and organizations
Understanding of the silicon development and validation cycle
Familiarity with Serial IO Protocols (Display Port, HDMI, PCIe, SATA)
is preferred
