Job Description
Design, simulate, evaluate new technology and operation concepts for
support strategic decision making.
Optimize shipping process to achieve highest efficiency with lowest
cost.
Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals,
objectives, policies, procedures and systems.
Set-up and coordinate all project logistics activities - material
collection, shipment, follow-up, export and import clearances and delivery to
final destination.
Responsible to manage and supervise a small team and to ensure
day-to-day operations include receives orders, input data to allow proper
tracking of each shipment, and/or correspondences to customers.
Coordinate with various shipping and forwarding contractors and
internal warehouse operations to support timely receipt and delivery of
shipments to customers.
Plan, organize and execute smooth & efficient operations of
Broadcom logistics activities.
Lead, plan and manage integrated industry-wide and cross-functional
projects as well as improve and implement the process, system and technology of
distribution management.
Reduce all transport/clearance related time and associated costs, by
systemization and control of the transport policy (consolidation, frame
agreement negotiation with shipping companies).
Develop RFQ documentation, presentation materials, modeling demonstrations
as well as forecast financial returns.
Verify forwarder\'s invoices.
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing
statistical reports.
Initiate process improvement and maintain SOP.
Design and re-construct current business for process improvement.
Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
Desired Profile
Bachelor Degree in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management
with logistics operations experience with supervisory skills.
More than 3 to 5 years hands on operations experience in shipping and
freight forwarding operations (sea freight air freight), preferably with
supervisory capacity.
Experience with process redesign and project management is a plus.
Good knowledge of customs and shipping documentations is a plus.
Good organizational and analytical skills ability to prioritize tasks
and meet deadlines.
Possess drive and initiative, constantly seeking new way of doing
things to make continuous improvements.
Good interpersonal and relationship building skills, ability to
communicate with all levels.
