The Legal Entity Accounting (LEA)
team ensures implementation of accurate accounting results in all HP legal
entities based on arms length principle with priority to optimize taxes across
HP Inc.
A Legal Entity Accounting (LEA)
Analyst will:
Coordinate the annual reporting
process and timelines.
Implement standard processes and
approach for calculating royalty entries and completing the annual report.
Partner with Transfer Pricing to
develop improvements to the current template and explore opportunities to
automate the process.
Investigate and implement
opportunities for simplifying and improving the royalty calculation accuracy
and reducing post-yearend adjustments.
Engage with Tax on IC dividends
planning and review accounting treatment and ensure transactions properly
recorded.
Review new IC loans, interest
calculations and accounting treatment to ensure all are properly calculated and
recorded.
Engage with Tax and Treasury to
understand IC loan hedging strategies, review new transactions and summarize
quarterly activity for review with E&Y.
Work closely with Legal,
Statutory & Tax (LST) team to understand tax planning activity, support
countries in bookings, work closely with HCAG, review implementation and
summarize on a quarterly basis for review with E&Y.
Provide guidance on Legal entity
valuation process, ensure alignment with Tax and Enterprise Financial Reporting
(EFR) and support controllership teams with process and accounting support.
Responsibilities include the

highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business,

exercising a strong understanding
of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
Consults with business leaders to
guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
Forecasts financial results
within a broad scope.
Leads business initiatives,
typically leading analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.
Identifies opportunities for
process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
Represents the business unit
during cross-regional or cross functional planning processes.
Provides mentoring and guidance
to analysts.
Ability to influence multiple
organizations within a broad scope, typically interacting with directors and
Vice President (VP)s.
Education and Experience
Required:
First level university degree
with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting
certification e. g. Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA),
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA)
preferred.
Typically 6 years of finance
experience
Typically experienced in more
than one finance function.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
