Desired profile
4-6 years of experience working as L2/L3 support Engineer Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, subnets, routing, access lists, security, firewalls and load-balancer technologies. Familiar with Cisco/Juniper routers and switches, Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Juniper MX, Capable to troubleshoot major incidents related with failures at the routing, switching or balancing environments. Capable to understand the relationship between the different network environments, technologies and DCs, identify its possible impact to the business and proceed accordingly in order to resolve the issues as soon as possible. Must be capable to add devices and modify threshold in the monitoring tools that exist in the project: Cacti, IPAM, and NetMRI, Sev-one. The engineer must be capable to use them in order to provide information about the network behavior and use that information as part of the network troubleshooting process. Experience with code development is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. (English and Spanish) CCPN or equivalent sis highly desirable.
Activities needs to be Perform
This position requires the ability to understand network issues and provide a workaround in order to resolve them. Provide L2 support for the EA Online infrastructure. (Routing, Switching, Balancing, Firewalls) Responsible for the peer review of his colleagues Provide support in bridge calls in case of investigation of production issues or ongoing issues.
