Graphics Applications Engineering Manager.
Detailed
Description:
The candidate
will have Peer+1 role for an organization that is in charge of graphics driver
enablement of Intel customers, accountable for timely and high quality delivery
of graphics drivers on all Intel client (Core, Pentium, Celeron and Atom)
platforms on time and with excellent quality. The team works closely with the
other enablement teams in GED and with the debug and engineering teams. In
addition, the team manages the customers to align their internal schedules with
Intel, and reflects the customer status back to the product development teams.
The candidate will also be expected to be able to create meaningful senior/exec
stakeholder management (internal and external). The candidate must be a team
player but also able to work independently in ambiguous environment, defining
scope and BKMs during the process. The candidate must be able to set a vision
and ongoing goals to lead the organization to improve results year over year.
General
Descripton:
Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering
function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces
appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes
problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance on employee
development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and schedules daily
tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from
standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate
inconvenience and expense.
Qualifications
Minimum Required
Qualifications:
overall 10+
years of experience with 5+ years management experience leading an applications
engineering team.
5+ years of
experience as a Senior Manager, with experience managing first line managers.
5+ years of
experience managing a team of application engineers and first line managers in
a complex multi-tasked environment.
5+ years of
experience working with vendors, and the ability to listen, understand, and respond
professionally to customer & vendor questions/issues.
5+ years of
experience working effectively with senior and executive management within
Intel and at customers.
5+ years of
experience in a decision making capacity dealing with product and customer
issues.
5+ years of
experience driving improvement in a manner that excites and motivates people.
5+ years of
experience coaching, motivating, and providing career progression to an entire
team.
5+ years of
experience with SW and/or Embedded FW, understanding CPU and Chipset
architecture with a platform and product level perspective.
Ability and
willingness to travel internationally occasionally
