Description
Intel's Mobile & Communications Group (MCG) needs high energy
engineers to help drive next-generation tablet development. The successful
candidate will have a critical role in launching Intel's Windows-based tablet
roadmap and engaging with tier one and tier two OEMs and ODMs to accelerate
their time-to-market. You will lead industry cutting edge mobile technologies;
security, sensors, touch, compute continuum, energy management, connected
standby, and others.
Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary
research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the
design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools
and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software.
Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine
characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity,
processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers
and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to
customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to
problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.
The selected candidate will be responsible for platform validation
activities delivering high quality software to both internal teams and
customers/ODMs. Responsibilities include validation and debug of
Si/Platform/FW/MW/drivers/OS/Apps on Windows-based tablet platform
integrations, driving debug, and providing best known configs to internal IP
deliverers and ODMs. In this role, you will work in a team of system validation
and debug engineers on Windows based tablets. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills are required to provide validation updates to technical
and nontechnical audiences. You will be expected to work alongside sister
validation teams in PRC and Bangalore as part of the Platform Integration and
Validation (PIV) team. Additional responsibilities include early engagement
with platform planners to properly size and resource projects along with
establishing clear processes and indicators to track execution and provide risk
assessments. Also expected is improving processes, creating a productive work
environment, and being a catalyst for high quality output from the team.

a. Research tablet technology domains and develop targeted test plans
that efficiently discover bugs.
b. Working with Ingredient providers to provide feedback and drive bugs
to closure.
c. Automation of tests, test content development and execution
d. Adopting plans to accommodate changing requirements, program
priority shifts and quality adjustments.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the
minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of
your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or
internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
or Computer Science
2. At the BS level only, must have the unrestricted right to work in
the US without requiring sponsorship
3. Minimum of 3 months experience with software/programming languages
(i.e. C, C++, C#, Visual Basic/.NET. Perl, Python, Java, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
4. Minimum of 3 months experience with embedded hardware design and/or
analog signal processing
