Desired profile
Will be part of the
Production Lifecycle Maintenance (PLM)
support team supporting the patching, OS and Firmware upgrades across
all Solaris / Linux / AIX physical and virtual servers globally.
Ability to
troubleshooting operating system and server hardware issues at a Level 2 skill
set.
Ability to
collaborate with Level 2 and Level 3 teams when issues arise that requires
additional support. (Priority one issues)
Supporting all
service delivery resiliency, efficiency and Audit programs tied to compliance
around server maintenance.
Following JPMC
engineering standards and products which are integrated across the Unix
physical and virtual platforms
Implementing,
measuring, and improving all processes, procedures, and activities required to
ensure maximum availability, utility, flexibility, and responsiveness of the
production environment
Will be responsible
for driving RCA
Technical writing skills with the ability to create or modify run-books as needed.
Capable of planning
and executing critical tasks independently
Proven server
maintenance experience including compliance break remediation and OS level
patching
Experience of
associated product upgrades including EMC power-path and VERITAS Cluster and
Volume manager
Effective written
and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop
strong client relationships
Ability to perform
work under pressure
Good Understanding
of Oracle RAC clusters & Web Components like Tomcat, Apache &
WebSphere.
Knowledge in
Hardware like HP ProLiant BL / DL & ML Servers, Cisco UCS blades, DELL
PowerEdge Servers & Virtual Machines.
Formal certification
in RHEL 6/7
VMware/ESX/VIC
experience/Knowledge
Ansible/Puppet/Unix
Shell Scripting.
Understanding of
security best practices for multi-tiered operating system
Understanding of
backup process, system monitoring, performance tuning disaster
recovery and
scripting for Solaris and/or Linux based OS.
